Details:
As The Bluescasters entered into the early processes of recording our second CD, the band felt that we wanted to create something that was not only different from our first effort, but still had our distinct Bluescasters sound and feel. As our thoughts and ideas came together, the project began to take form… Personal stories and life experiences became lyrics that were crafted around ever evolving melodies…and key elements to the songs changed several times! Like all things worthwhile though, eventually our efforts began to take shape… You’re holding the result. We hope you enjoy listening to Give Yourself the Blues” as much as we enjoyed making it a reality.
There are always a great number of people who warrant credit in some way when producing a project such as this. Most importantly we wish to thank our families. Their love and support is so critical to what we do… without it, there would be no Bluescasters! Our special thanks to Deb, Renee, Matt, Louise, Abby, Seth, Ellen and Owen. We need to extend extra special thanks again to Deb & Matt for putting up with the endless hours of rehearsal and recording sessions… not to mention the number of nights that pizza was on the dinner menu!
We would also like to thank the following people for helping in their own unique way… either by offering their support, lending a helping hand, or a few kind words of encouragement; Kim Reardon, Dan Kafila, Lettie, Diane, Margie, Laura, Tom & Vivian the Florida contingent (led by Pat & Harry), Bill & Sherry and their crew, Shep & Tracie, Chris, Angie & Frank, Terry and Linda, Al & Diane, Dr. Bob, Tom & Linda, Mike Abbate at Percussion World in Ferndale, Michigan (best drum store around!) ClearBlue Marketing, Benny Jet, Jesse Sinatra, https://www.tradebit.com web radio, Johnson’s Printing Services, the club owners and proprietors who book The Bluescasters, The Ann Arbor Blues & Jazz Festival board members, The Detroit Blues Society and others too numerous to mention in this limited space.
The Bluescasters appreciate all of you!
