Here’s an intense new album from an emerging Philadelphia band that pushes the boundaries of musical eclecticism to another level. This band delivers the attitude of punk and the tight grooves of funk fueled by high-caliber musicianship that creates a punk-funk fusion, and yet somehow they are able to keep their feet planted firmly in rock ‘n’ roll. Anthony Lattanze, Brendan McGeehan, and Ben Brown comprise the power trio, Counter Riot. Their style features jams that are aggressive, yet hypnotic, with complex rhythmic grooves.
Counter Riot highlights this style on record with their debut album titled "Punk Funk Fugato!".
