Cecil Flies the Mogul''s self titled debut initially began as a licensing request for TV score. Instead of churning out typical the cookie cutter music of the field, BJ Schweinlin began using his talent as an artist to bring together many elements commonly used for TV, but present them in a fashion that was new and innovative. The end result is an album filled with music that sounds like theme songs to TV shows that don’t exist. You can hear influences from everything from early Beastie Boys and Stevie Wonder, to Chemical Brothers and Lemon Jelly. Cecil Flies the Mogul sounds like everyone and no one at the exact same time.
