I am actually train in pop arranging.
Doing this the first time.
It was not possible to arrange without real instrument and training in respective instrument,
The song came with the help of modern software instrument.

In my teenager, I was active in chinese traditional orchestra.
Chinese traditional music is actually very board.
Beside the "main" chinese music, there are many minor ethic group.
Due to the silk road, chinese music has mixture of western music.
Mostly influence by Arabic or Persian.
Also Mongolian in the north.
There are other minor ethic group so I have not discovered yet.
Since I heard or play these favour in my teens.
Somehow it is easier to compose this.
