What''s a KEENLYSIDE MADAIO:

TOM KEENLYSIDE’s musical career has spanned four decades, featuring performances and recordings
throughout North America and Europe. His flute and saxophone playing have been featured with a wide
variety of groups at many major festivals, including the Newport Jazz Festival, the Montreal International
Jazz Festival, and the Montreux Detroit Jazz Festival. He has performed with many of the biggest
names in the music business: Diana Krall, Harry Connick Jr., Natalie Cole, Dizzy Gillespie, Mel Torme
and Tom Jones. In November 2006, Tom was inducted into the British Columbia Entertainment Hall of Fame.

As lead alto sax for the Don Costa orchestra, Tom Keenlyside played a 26 show season with Paul
Anka, cutting live tracks in front of a studio audience for performers such as Andy Williams, Peggy Lee,
Andy Gibb and Sammy Cahn. Costa’s beautiful arrangements became a major influence on Tom as a
writer and arranger.

In addition to television series and specials, Tom recorded almost continuously throughout the
seventies, eighties and nineties, featured as soloist on dozens of albums and hundreds of commercial
spots, including McDonald’s, Safeway and General Motors.

STEVE MADAIO has lived the life most musicians dream. Along with David Sandborn, he performed on
stage at Woodstock with the Butterfield Blues Band, he toured and recorded with the legendary Janis
Joplin and he enjoyed two world tours with the Rolling Stones. Steve has toured and recorded with
Stevie Wonder, John Lennon, Bob Dylan, Bonnie Raitt, Madonna and Barbra Streisand to name a few.

A master of the trumpet and flugel horn, Steve is one of the most sought-after studio musicians in the
business. He was born and raised in New York City surrounded by all the sights, sounds and music the
Big Apple offered and by the age of 15, he was performing at the Latin Quarter, playing on Broadway
and he joined a rock ‘n’ roll show.

In 1974, Steve followed his muse to California. He did a lot of Los Angeles session work and quickly
became an in demand player in the studio and on tour for many major performers.

Steve and Tom began playing together at gigs and wanted to share some of their music with a broader audience and thus the Summer 2011 release of their first album, "Moment In Time" from which "Theme From A Summer Place" has been taken. The album also includes their brilliant reworking on a number of pop, jazz and rock standards including, "Born To Be Wild," "Memphis Underground," "Low Rider" and "Sympathy For The Devil."
