Kanan Road was born in 2008 when three natural brothers from Southern California took their love for music to the next level. Their passion began at a very young age, learning to play the guitar from their father, who taught them how to play music from their heart.
Starting out on stage as Southwind (former band name), they have been selling out shows and opening for headliners all over the west coast since 1998. They have shared the stage with the likes of Molly Hatchet, The Band Perry, Bombshell, Jimmy Wayne, Josh Gracin & Toby Lightman, just to name a few. Inspired by Southern and Country Rock, their writing comes from their lives and personal experiences. Their vocal harmonies are profound and they bring another element to their dynamic sound.
Now joined by a passionate rhythm section, Kanan Road introduces an unforgettable, energetic, live performance that is filled with heartfelt precision. It is truly a breath of fresh air to hear three part harmonies over the blend of southern rock and country style guitar, redefined as "California Country".
