Erin Downing is a professional songwriter residing in New York City. Downing graduated with a degree in journalism before she realized that her true calling was in composition. Downing has always been drawn to songs with heartfelt narratives. Influenced by her love for storytelling, Erin began writing lyrics at age ten. After college, Downing left Massachusetts for California to pursue her goal of making it in the music business as a songwriter. Now a resident of New York City, Downing enjoys spending time with friends and writing music. Downing’s music has been described as “songs with a hint of pop but loaded with a slice of life reality” (Springbarrel Songwriter Services).
Erin’s songs are fun, catchy and relatable to all ages. In 2010, Erin and joined forces with songwriter Larry Dvoskin. The track sample was to be performed by recording artist Karisa Nowak, but upon hearing the track, enjoyed it so much she requested that the song be featured on her own EP. Erin is currently writing music for artists around the country. Her songwriting services are available for artists of any style.
