Details:
Vagrant moon''s passion for music began long before he ever had a "real" instrument. In the first grade, he memorized the entire lyrics to Bon Jovi''s hit "I''ll Be There For You" to woo women (well, really just first-grade girls) as they waited in the cafeteria before school for the bell to ring.

As a child of the ''80s, this Louisville, Ky., native was also influenced by music videos on MTV. The authentic and raw tones of bands like Guns ''N Roses grabbed his attention. He used to dress up in a Karate outfit, complete with sun glasses and a headband, pretending he was a rock star as he''d strum a piece of wood carved out to look like an electric guitar along with music videos.

He didn''t receive a real guitar until the summer before high school, but until then, vagrant moon would make homemade guitars out of rubber bands and "Construx” toys.

At last, he succumbed to asking his parents for help. They bought him a $67 electric guitar they found in an ad. It had no brand name, but the guy assured us it was "like a Gibson." Yeah right! The thing wouldn''t stay in tune.

Nonetheless, he battled his way through a year with the "Gibson" before he received a Mexican-made black Fender Stratocaster. Oh, yes! The rest was downhill.

He began recording music even before he had the glorious "Gibson" by using a tape recorder, his teenage angst and a toy with a pulley-string that made a unique noise.

In college vagrant moon began to embrace the softer side of rock n’ roll: folk-based tunes. Today, his own music continues to be shaped by the lyric-driven styles of Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Bill Mallonee and Bruce Cockburn (to name a few).
