The Sterling Loons formed in late 2002 to work on what was originally planned to be a solo project from singer/guitarist Eamon Nordquist but quickly became a new band. The resulting debut album “What to do in Trouble” showcased their style of hard rocking psychedelic pop. You can hear echoes of the Kinks, the Beatles, and the Who in the songwriting and the guitars are reminiscent of Television, the Byrds, and Hendrix. Their new album "March to the Tune", is a big leap forward - more rock, more pop, and more psychedelic.
Eamon Nordquist can also be heard playing guitar and singing backing vocals on several records by Seattle’s legendary Truly (see https://www.tradebit.com). Drummer Jeff Brown can be heard playing bass and singing backing vocals on records by the Seattle group Downpilot (https://www.tradebit.com). The band released it''s followup album "March to the Tune" in September of 2010 on New Jersey''s KoolKat Musik label.
