I started singing as soon as I could talk, and began playing the guitar when I was 12. By 13 I began writing songs, and that''s when the dream to record was born. Along the way marriage, three kids and living life took precedence, the years raced by, still the dream never died. The old saying goes ''Better late than never'' I''ve titled this project "Better than never"!
Working the last 13 years at the Rockford Rescue Mission and at Rockford''s Salvation Army ARC have given my songs quite a wide scope, they are life songs about how I''ve seen God at work in my life and the lives of those around me.
People tell me my music sounds a little like the Beatles, Crosby Stills and Nash, or the Eagles, music I''ve loved my whole life. That''s not what I heard as a thirteen year old! In fact when my friends told me I sounded nothing like the Beatles I decided to only sing original songs, then I couldn''t be compared to anyone else. Now all these years later I get compared to those guys all the time.
I''m just getting started (thanks to Jesus). I hope you''ll love this as much as I''ve loved working on it.
