It simply does not get any more real and authentic than Heath Eric. His music draws from many influences including: Americana, Folk, Folk-Rock, Funk, Blues, Grassy-Soul, Jazz, and Rootsy-Bluegrass.
But make no mistake, Heath Eric cannot and will be contained in any "box" of a particular genre.
Heath''s music reflects on his life, love, pain, near self-destruction, happiness, his love for his two boys, search for truth, adventure, and chasing dreams. He has released two acclaimed, original solo albums, "finally gettin'' it" and "39," and continues to tour extensively throughout the region.
He uses his soulful voice, steeped in truth, and earthly acoustic grooves, to create his own unique and original, homegrown blend of passionate Roots-Rock, Authentic Americana and groovin'' Acoustic Soul Music.
The first single released from 39, “What Does It Take?” is based on real life experiences of Heath and Molly. Hate is a terrible thing, in any form. The song challenges us all to be better people and celebrate, “Peace, Love, Joy, and Diversity...”

“What Does it Take” (...to stop the hate?) - is the first radio single released from the album. It confronts the sad truth that the awful 4-letter word, “hate,” still runs rampant in the world. The song challenges us all to have the courage to make a difference with a simple solution. (You’ll have to listen to know what it takes...) Inspired by painful, yet enlightening, real-life experiences, this soon to be fan favorite, has received strong support and positive reviews at Heath Eric & Molly G. LIVE shows since it’s debut in late 2010. Very Powerful and Inspiring Song. Side Note, The “Kick / Stomp” sound on the track was recorded in from Heath’s bare foot stomping Heath & Molly’s kitchen floor. “It sounded so good, we had to have that on the album. We ran microphones up from the studio and tracked it right there!” It’s a ‘kitch-Floor-Foot-Stompin’, Hand-Clappin’, Soul Shoutin’, kinda song!

Heath Eric & Molly G’s hit single from Heath’s first solo album, finally gettin’ it. The song was written by Heath’s friend and singer-songwriter Tracye Westerfield. Recorded LIVE at Theatre Workshop of Owensboro concert performance on 9/11/10 with Heath Eric and his full band. Sweet, soulful performance.
4) “Fishin’ in the Creek with My T, LIVE” - ISRC: QM-Y66-11-00004

This is a very special rendition of the song Heath wrote about his oldest son, Turner. This song inspired Heath’s entire first album. Heath chokes back a few tears of joy during this recording, but we felt that the overall impact and magic of the song was so powerful it had to be on the project. Recorded LIVE at Theatre Workshop of Owensboro concert performance on 9/11/10, this track features a special duo performance with Heath Eric and Molly G.

Title track, recorded in one sitting at Rumsey Records. Heath sat down. all alone, in front of a vocal mic and a guitar mic, and wrote and recorded this song. Deep, introspective look at life at the half-way point.

Heath & Molly shared a single vocal mic, their voices blending naturally, while Heath laid down the groove on his guitar, and created a magical LIVE version of Marque Payne’s beautiful song. Also a fan favorite, the studio version of “Coffee & Cream” from finally gettin’ it, was #1 on the Acoustic Alternative Online Radio charts for nearly 4 weeks! Recorded at a full-house studio concert, and VERY lively crowd, at Rumsey Records. Heath Eric & Molly G. have been performing this melodic love song the past year at their shows. This is a great LIVE version shared with some of our best fans. Our dear friend Doris Wettstain wrote the lyrics for this song. *Look for the studio version on Heath & Molly’s duo album, planned to be released in late 2011.
8) “Vision of Innocence” - ISRC: QM-Y66-11-00008

One of Heath’s favorite songs he’s ever written or co-written. This song was written and originally recorded in 1991 / 1992 during an inspirational time in Heath’s life when he lived in Flagstaff, Arizona. This version was recorded in 2002 with his previous band, Underground Vibe. Heath has recorded this song several times since 1991 and a few times since this version. However, *MAGIC* and the true spirit of this song were captured on this recording and therefore it is included on this project.
9) “PS, I Got Your Back” - ISRC: QM-Y66-11-00009

This song was custom written and recorded by friend and fabulous performing artist and award-winning songwriter, Carla Gover, for Heath in 2007. The song tells about a letter a father writes to his sons with some important advice. Heath has recorded a few versions of it and a reggae style version was initially set for inclusion on finally gettin’ it. This upbeat version is from a very rough scratch track in 2008. Heath sings, plays guitars, and percussion. Sweet Molly G. added her amazing voice and harmony in January 2011. It’s just a really cool tune and deserved a spot on this album.
10) “Rainy Day Blues” - ISRC: QM-Y66-11-00010

This is the actual recording of the first and only version of this song, recorded in late 1991/early 1992 in analog, at Harsh Reality Recordings in Flagstaff, Arizona. Life long friends and high school band mates Chris Calabrese and Jeremiah Convery co-wrote and recorded this song with Heath during this enlightening and exciting time of his life while living in Flagstaff, Arizona. The song survived on an old cassette tape that literally had to be taped together with scotch tape to play. The quality of the cassette deteriorated over the years, but the song has always been special and Heath was so excited to find it. On the recording are: Heath Eric on vocals and playing percussion on the back of his 12-string Applause guitar, Chris Calabrese on Rhythm guitar and harmony, and Jeremiah Convery on lead guitar. Fans wanted to hear Heath from 20 years ago so here it is! Enjoy!
11) “Hard to Find Love, LIVE” - ISRC: QM-Y66-11-00011

Heath wrote this song while living in Phoenix, Arizona in 1990/1991. He has also recorded it several times over the years, but never to his satisfaction. While searching for material for this project, he came across a LIVE scratch track from 2008. It was perfect!

This track was recorded in 2003 with Heath’s previous band, Underground Vibe. We love this rootsy, funky, groovin’ tune.

This is a LIVE board mix from Pro Audio Services, sound company for Underground Vibe. It’s so good as is, we felt it had to be on the album! Fans of Underground Vibe’s original & funky Kentucky Soul Music will really dig this!
