Details:
In a previous life before becoming a Lutheran Pastor in Houston, Evan became an accomplished classical guitarrist and composer. One summer during college, Evan went to the Ozark folk music capital of Mountain View, Arkansas to learn the Mountain dulcimer. He soon after wrote and recorded a collection of pieces that reflect scenes from a westward journey and the range of emotions felt by the people who were a part of it. Through explorations in amplification and playing technique Evan expands the harmonic and tonal capabilities of this apparently simple four-stringed instrument.
