Our Music
IV Christ is a contemporary Gospel group with roots in both traditional gospel and R&B. The captivating sound that is produced by this conglomeration is unrepentingly engaging. They have called their brand of gospel, "R&G". The group consists of seven vocalists/ musicians, each bringing his own unique flavor to the "R&G" sound. IV Christ''s background in both genre''s makes the marriage of styles a natural bi-product of their expression. Their raw, unapologetically powerful and passionate gospel sound intermingles with their smooth, captivatingly harmonic, melodic, and rhythmic R & B flavor effortlessly.
Because R & G (Rhythm and gospel as opposed to R & B''s rhythm and blues) is a collaboration of R & B and Gospel in which both genres are discernible, IV Christ''s offering to the industry is one that places them in a unique position; they fit comfortably in either. It has also allowed them to perform with some of gospel, contemporary Christian''s, and R & B''s biggest names. In their tenure they have performed, and / or toured, with artists such as Fred Hammond, John P. Kee, Crystal Lewis, Jimmy Hicks, Canton Jones, MC Hammer, For Real, The Williams Brothers, and a host of other regional and international recording artists.
Our Ministry
The members believe in being real and honest about their faith. Each member, a devoted Christian, strives to live and encourage others to live in such a way that those who do not share the faith will see Jesus actually living in and affecting their lives. To this end, they enjoy doing musical and teaching workshops in which they can impact the lives of young and old. These energetic and intimate sessions allow IV Christ to interact with people and to share their passion for music and ministry in a more casual setting.
"Our ministry is to encourage the saints to be saints, and to encourage sinners to become saints through the power and truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are far from perfect, but striving daily to reach perfection. The world does not need to see perfect Christians. They need to see real Christians, people with weaknesses and flaws, just like everybody else who are mighty through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ."
Through their music and ministry, they hope to show that Jesus is not just a Sunday morning tradition, but the true and living Savior with the power to transform lives.
