Lenny Morris is a singer and writes songs on an acoustic guitar, which has given him the label of a singer/songwriter. While he has no qualms with being known as such, he eventually hopes to be recognized as something more.
Lenny began singing at age 5, but when his cousin handed him an old Harmony guitar around his 12th birthday, his passion for guitar and songwriting quickly grew. He began covering songs from bands like Goo Goo Dolls, Matchbox 20, and Incubus but really gained confidence when the singer/songwriter craze hit. He realized he too, could write music in hopes of one day reaching a larger audience.
Having originated his style from the likes of famous songwriters such as Shawn Mullins, John Mayer and Jason Mraz, Lenny began writing and recording songs, making videos on youtube, and playing shows locally over the years. After taking a break from the music scene, Lenny''s interesting mix of inspirations and musical taste (Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Josh Groban, Jason Mraz, Ne-Yo and John Mayer just to name a few) re-ignited his passion for developing a unique and intriguing sound. With a refreshing guitar style and pristine vocals, Lenny Morris has played at many music venues and strives to attain an impressive following.
