Martin Meyer is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who began playing music after listening to George Harrison’s song "Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth)." He explains: ''The song stopped me, it just stopped me…the guitars and all the music were “talking” and I felt I could understand them.” The late amazing jazz guitarist Joe Beck has noted Martin as, “…a prolific songwriter who adds a depth and emotion to his work.” A great example of his emotion and depth in music can be found in the song, “What Would I Do?” which was written for The Goldstar Family Foundation in 2009. The foundation is available for aid and support to United States military families.

Martin Meyer’s latest recording, “Fragments from the Salt Diaries” is a fourteen track compilation of engaging, ambient and rousing music to the poetry of Florin Ion Firimita. For the listener, the CD brings an amazing musical experience which is rich and layered with deep, thought provoking stories of life, love, trust, faith and betrayal. In a statement from the liner notes of the CD, the musician explains: "I hope the music enhances the beauty of Florin’s poetry and takes the listener on a journey within their own imagination. While writing these songs, I would look inside myself and see images in my mind from his words. I would also refer to his artwork and photographs to help channel the musical creative process." Martin played all the musical instruments and performed the vocals exclusively on the disc. The album is scheduled for release in March 2011.
