Jay Monaco and Ray Ray Intl of the group W.d.B.m have hit the ground runnin on the music scene. Almost out of left field, these two young relevant, versatile producer/ artists are bringing a fresh twist to the music game while staying grounded to their urban roots.
Globetrotta Productions presents their lead single of 2011 , “Magical Girl”, a true collaboration between the duo and the distinctive vocals of the UK sensation , Spoonface. The song concept describes a free spirited sexy female who is confident, and seemingly forever elusive.
Sitting in the studio mixing the track and listening to it for what seemed like a 1000 times, Jay & Ray had an epiphany to have Lil Jon “The King of Crunk” featured on the track and were determined to make it happen. Lil Jon, a multi-platinum music icon is most known for his role on r&b singer Usher’s hit song “YEAH” along with rapper Ludacris . Also starring in Donald Trump’s hit TV series on NBC “Celebrity Apprentice”, Jay made a quick call to a connection in Germany “Uncle Milt”, longtime friend of Lil Jon. Uncle Milt helped lay the ground work to solidify Lil Jon being on the track. Jay and Ray took a risk and hopped a plane to Germany where Lil Jon was in Berlin on tour. Jetlagged and motivated, literally “globetrotta’s” they all met up with Lil Jon in a studio in Berlin and instantly connected. Just as they thought, Lil Jon’s signature ad-libs gave the song that extra Crunk feel they had envisioned, paving the way to be the next electro –hip hop club banger. Magical Girl has received an overwhelming response from the DJ’s which led the song to be officially remixed in multiple genres. The Magical Girl sound is now playing worldwide from ultra lounge, jazz, dance to hip hop/rap.
