I Love to write songs that tell a story and make me think. Music that paints a picture in my mind as I sing. With this debut album, I wanted to do just that and share the lessons I''ve been learning for myself. Lessons that have encouraged and inspired me to be all that I''ve always wanted to be. Mostly, that it is never too late to walk the path you''ve always dreamed of. And, contrary to past thought processes, it is not a selfish thing to follow your dreams. When we are fulfilled and at peace with ourselves, the ripples of that effect can be felt by those around us. Going within enables our ability to reach out. We all have the power to share of ourselves and make an impact on the world around us. Small or large, it doesn''t matter.
I have written for other people, other bands and other churches; but, at this point in my life, I wanted to do my music, my way and tell my own story. I feel a little naked, but at least I know I did it. That, in itself, was a big step towards being the person I want to see when I look in the mirror. Along with the messages in the songs, I hope that message comes across. We are valuable! We all have something to offer! Small or large, it doesn''t matter.
