it was at the coach house in early 2000, 9 months after a near fatal road accident, that the first live BROTHER album - "this way up" - was recorded. now, 10 years later we release "out from under", another live offering.

the fellas and i have been wanting to make this album for quite a while.

in mid 2007 BROTHER become a powerhouse trio. we realized then that a live album was how we first wanted to capture the new BROTHER sound. but a recording is always a snapshot of a very particular now, especially with us. and as we were, for all intents and purposes, a (spanking) new band, there was some experimenting and evolving of the sound that needed to happen. it happened.

and so, this is it. our sound. now.
