THE BLACK BOWS, three friends, two continents, one passion... MUSIC.
Perhaps this might be one of the thousands of amazing stories happening in New York City but it is for sure an intriguing project that will capture your soul.
Started in December 2010, when the singer and guitar player Dario (also known as DEE) in exchange from London and pursuing his studies in Economics in New York met in Union Square with the drummer Michelle, (also known as sHell) teacher working in East Harlem, and they wondered about forming a rock'' n'' roll band in the earth of the planet.
Even though the Italo/French leader and the Canadian/Japanese drummer had such a diverse cultural background the alchemy between the two was immediate. Union Square, once the place where The Velvet Underground and many other artists were creating that art, labeled some years later as “punk” had definitely a good vibe on the project.
Not even the time to breath the dream that suddenly everything became more difficult since Dee had to return in London to complete his studies and nobody knew what the future would have reserved to The Black Bows.
But the passion for music stayed alive and in February 2011, sHell crossed the ocean to reach London and the project could finally see the light.
Following in March 2011, sHell got in touch with a talented French bass player, Lucas (also known as LUCAS LESS) who just moved in New York and working for a French company in Manhattan.
Hence, after many adventures and obstacles, finally in October 2010 the band was complete with Dee leaving his routine life in UK and returning in the New York Jungle! The band started to focus immediately on the project and the single “New York Call” it’s simply framing this dream.
So watch out rock’ n’ rollers cause The Black Bows are now ready to push this sound through regular live performances in the city and they are probably going to blow your mind!!
