In 1995 the prodigal son of St. Lawrence ave. returned home to New Jersey after a spell in Boston and playing drums on a national tour. A few blocks over a neighborhood friend and guitarist was coming into his own as a songwriter. After some drinks at a local watering hole the two decided to team up and start a band. With the help of some musician friends the heart beat of the Barefoot Tramps had begun. Thru the next several years the band name and line-up often changed, but the two who started it remained.
Early in 2008, founding members Brian O''Neill (lead vocals, drums) and Carmen Misale (guitar, songwriter) along with returning bassist Joe Franchino had found the final band members in lead guitarist Eric Schiebler and keyboardist Dave Lipowitz to form the Barefoot Tramps.
In the spring of 2010 they released their self entitled debut CD. An all original down home collection of classic rock ''n roll music that fuses rock, country and blues. This style is reminicent of 70''s rock albums where the first song starts the story and the last song closes the book.
Wheels on Fire is about burning down the roads of life looking for a home. We wrote these songs for you to ride on your journey. "Hope it keeps good company when you''re on the road..."
