Details:
"Jaded By Obscurity" is somewhat of a concept album. More so than Art''s previous release, "T.A.G.", "Jaded" deals with issues of love and money, love or money, love vs. money, etc., both in a personal and socio-societal sense.
"Modern Love" begins the disc with a folk-jazz vibe , "Modern love, you''re the last to know, everybody says it''s so, modern love". "Two Of Us" and "Plastic City" certainly follow the theme. Pedal steel giant Marty Rifkin (Springsteen, Petty, Jewel etc.) adds the country feel to "Standing Ground", then plays moody, on "Darkened Café Blues". Like Art''s previous disc "T.A.G.", John Palmer is playing drums, percussion and harmonica. Bruce Gigax again doing the mixing and again Dave Collins, this time out of Marcussen Mastering, doing the mastering. This CD also finds Art playing guitar, bass, piano and drums and features Tim Carmon (Eric Clapton) on piano and Hammond organ. "Jaded By Obscurity" was released on August 6, 2002 by F-5 Records.
