My days of playing solo acoustic shows at Long Wong''s really shaped my career. It quickly became about more than just me and my music. It was the connection I had with the audience, and the connection the audience had with each other. I love that people came through the door from every walk of life and for two or three hours nothing on the outside mattered. It was fun to watch people that stumbled in for the first time, and see them look around the room with eyes wide, wondering where the hell they were. That fever grew after I moved to Portland, and now I see that same look on the faces of the musicians I''ve been touring with every time we leave Phoenix. I''ve been wonderfully blessed by the people who''ve connected with my music and have shared it with their friends. This record is everything that I''m about today.
