Details:
Steve Rotter is an enthusiastic, potent guitar player from Chicago, Illinois (U.S.A.) who expresses his style as instrumental hard rock, as can be heard on his latest release, "Wraith". His guitars of choice include a Jackson Dinky Reverse Pro Series and a Peavey Vandenberg for the album. Steve currently uses nothing but Ibanez Jems. Rotter has played guitar since 1987, and frankly confirms his career goal, "To get a good following in the Chicago area and continue recording and performing."
Steve is currently listening to Queensryche, Randy Rhoads/Ozzy, Yngwie Malmsteen and Racer X (Paul Gilbert). His utmost satisfaction? "When someone says they enjoyed my music then I''ve done my job. I set out to give to someone what people gave to me when I started playing; when it felt like Christmas morning as a kid," he answers decidedly.
Rotter mentions ongoing and upcoming projects in his own words, "Putting a band together and starting to write for a 2nd CD which will be recorded by us in our studio. It''s exciting. I do it all, guitar, recording engineer, photographer and videographer/cinematographer. There are so many colorful angles to Steve''s talents.
Fans have compared the playing style and/or musical approach of Steve Rotter to guitarists such as Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen and John Sykes among others. Steve just thinks he sounds like Steve.
