The Scotch Eggs Story:

Graham''s version:

A few years ago Graham drove down from Rochester, NY to visit Kendall at his brother''s house in Boston, MA. After becoming appropriately enlightened, the two boys decided that Graham would lay some lyrics down over some beats Kendall had made previously. A lazy, overcast Eastern afternoon lay in wait for their session, which was light-hearted and feckless. Having quickly penned lyrics for Kendall''s version of "Eight Days A Week", Graham was motivated to freestyle to a couple others; they hope that you enjoy the results contained herein.

However, despite its effortless inception, "Scotch Eggs" was seemingly destined to go unheard and unheard of beyond the walls of Kendall''s home studio. You see, after the original recordings were made (the current version being a remastered audio tape of that session) Kendall decided to change the mix of "I''m Still Holdin'' (Holdin'' Something)" (Graham''s favorite of the three tracks), without preserving the original, which effectively killed Graham''s enthusiasm to further the project. It lay for years thus in dun ignominy, a small source of bitterness between the two friends. Eventually, Kendall would do something entirely unrelated that would really piss Graham off, seemingly sealing the fate of the scrappy little project for good. But, similarly eventually, Graham got over it and forgave Kendall, and Kendall similarly forgave Graham for some minor transgressions. Just prior to this, simultaneous to the renewed ascension of Graham''s better nature (while on a trip from Athens to Delphi in a rental FIAT), was the discovery of said audio tape from which this redub was made. Having lost knowledge of the tape''s whereabouts and rediscovering it on the way to the temple of his patron god, Graham understood immediately that it was intended that he reconcile with Kendall upon returning home and promote the project to the best of his abilities a.s.a.p.

So, there you have it. Scotch Eggs is, like all things, a project mandated by God.

Enjoy,

Graham
