Suburban Plight is a musical blend of acoustic folk and dark melodic rock stemming from the memories of our lives over the past decade. Inspired by loud, electric punk, the subtle sound of Suburban Plight seeks to express the free, yet paradoxically trapped spirit embodied within human emotions while questioning the relentless subjugation of the mind by society. Suburban Plight''s first acoustic EP, "Shopping Cart Suicide," will be released in Summer 2006. Since the completion of the acoustic album, the addition of Ricky Hayes (Drums), Gene Perry (Lead Guitar), and Kyle Barton (Bass Guitar), with original member Zack Lorenz (Rythmn Guitar, Lead Vocals) has rounded out the band and given Suburban Plight a very new and ecclectic style. Each song is distinctly different of the others, yet tied together with Suburban Plight''s very distinctive sound. The band has just finished up its first full band EP, "The Cage", which was released in July ''06. Suburban Plight is booking venues across Southern California and has just retured from a 3 week tour of California.
