Chip Days (musician)
Carl Days Jr. (born June 24, 1987’), better known by Chip Days, is an American born R&B singer and songwriter. Days first made his musical mark on the world as a contestant on the award winning show "American Idol” second season.

Early Life
Chip Days was born in Hartsville, South Carolina.

Musical career
As many artists growing up in the south of the United States, Chip Days began his musical journal in the church. At the early age of 5, Days was influenced by musical like Brian McKnight, Joe, Michael Jackson & Keith Sweat. His singing-songwriting talents came from a desire to express what he was feeling. This talent didn’t go over looked by many in the music industry and soon he was writing songs for some the very same people he looked up to in his youth.
Chip Days continued to work on his craft and began working with artist like Montell Jordan & Keith Sweat. In (2001-2002) he performed two commercials for Mrs. Winners that aired over a six week period. He has also been featured on major recording projects such as Bubba Sparxxx’s “Bright Days Dark Nights, Keith Sweat hits like “Kiss You” and “Don’t Have Me” featuring Dave Hollister, driving the hook-line on Keith''s 2007 single “Suga Suga” and the 2008 Christmas album “Christmas of Love”. He also wrote tracks for his 2010 release "Ridin'' Solo".

Chip is also featured on Pastor Troy’s “Atlanta” and “Boys to Men” featuring, “Eight Ball.” Living in Atlanta, Chip auditioned for the award winning show "American Idol”. After toughing his way to the top fifteen of more than 70,000 hopefuls, Chip was featured as a semi-finalist, promoted to the wildcard show, and debuted live in front of more than 20 million viewers. He describes it as a time of preparation and growth. “I feel like being on the show made me a better artist." He also debut on the syndicated sitcom “Half & Half” with an original song he wrote alongside Grammy Award winning producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. He also licensed three songs with CBS after his appearance on the show.

In 2007 Chip Day teamed up with Tamika Scott of Xscape and others to co-write the song ‘Struggle no more’ that was performed by Anthony Hamilton for Tyler Perry’s movie ‘Daddy’s little girls’

In 2010 after writing and being featured on other artist projects like Charlie Wilson’s ‘You Are’, Chip Days released his own CD called ‘Legendary’. ‘Legendary’s first single is named ‘Bad Guy’.

Acting career
With a background in performing arts he was chosen to play the role of Norman in “The Secrets Men Keep” a highly anticipated stage play based on a novel by Dr. Ti-y Muhammed. He also recently played the role of Garren in "I don''t look like what I''ve been through" a stage play that opened for the Black Women''s Conference in 2010. Starting early 2011 he begins working on the film "Hole in the Wall" where he stars as an aspiring singer looking for love.
