BOSTON, MA: Winner of “Best Local Band” in this year’s Boston Magazine, Cambridge’s own Celtic/bluegrass and country music band, Three Day Threshold have been invited to do a tour of The Middle East (not the club in Cambridge, but the actual Middle East!) in February 2011 by the US Military to support US Servicemen stationed overseas. “We are so humbled and honored by this opportunity and are extremely grateful for a chance to give back to the troops who have done so much for our country” says banjo/guitarist, Kier Byrnes. Though the official tour stops are classified, the regions the band will be targeting include Djibouti, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabi Qatar and Kuwait (right up to Iraq) and a possible off shore concert. With the tour, the band is releasing a special CD, “International Incident” which highlights some of the bands favorite songs from their past 6 albums that they will be giving out to the troops along the way.
