Details:
Tamika Brown is more than a singer. She is a psalmist, evangelist and missionary at heart. Her rich, deep, soulful voice impacts all who hears her and ignites a burning fire to acknowledge the power of God’s presence. The middle child of seven children, she was favored by her parents and somewhat different from her siblings. She loved poems and loved to read. She was very intelligent and perceptive at a young age. She was also musically inclined; whereby, she played the organ and the violin for several years. As a child she always sung to God with such a strong desire to be His songstress. At age 4, Tamika was stricken with the virus Scarlet Fever and almost died. During this sickness she lost her hearing for some time, but later God restored it miraculously.

Also as a child, Tamika had a terrible stuttered speech to the degree that her parents had her tongue clipped through surgery and it still didn''t correct the problem. However, through the years, God corrected it. In 1993, after she had been singing God’s praises for some time, the Lord in affirmation, told her “Daughter, even as a little child you sang to me and now I’ve placed my words in you--sing out, sing out--for I have given you a song of deliverance to my people.” Thus, God placed within her a gift of healing.”

Since that time, God has spoken many encouraging words and conveyed to her that she will “sing before many nations, kings and princes.” He has a special anointing upon her life to pull those “out of the gutter” and drive them to Christ. He has given her a gift to "stir" others up. Without any formal music training God has used her before many to bring the anointing and the power of His presence through song.

She is the Director of Music and the primary Worship Leader at World Outreach Church for All Nations in Lawrenceville, Georgia, USA, where she has led the team for over 15 years. Tamika received ordination as a minister in 1997 by Pastor Bankole Akinmola, senior pastor and his wife Sharon Akinmola. Prior to her current membership, she was a praise leader and songstress at Green Pastures Christian Ministries, in Decatur, Georgia, USA for 8 years. While there she actively participated in several plays and dramas. She is fondly remembered for her former role as the “Samaritan Woman” in the play, the “King of Glory” written by Pamela Gardner and produced by Green Pastures Christian Ministries.

A short-term mission’s trip to Ibadan, Nigeria in 1995, where she ministered daily before thousands at Christ Life Church with Sword of the Spirit Ministries, proved to be an unforgettable and humbling experience. People had walked for miles to attend the conference and were overcome by the strong presence of the anointing upon her life. This trip opened the door for two more visits in the last 3 years to that country and several other churches in Nigerian cities, such as Lagos, Ibadan, Maiduguri, and Damaturu where she ministered before several tribes of people. In June 2001, she sang praise and worship songs in the tribal language Yoruba and Igbo at a concert in Maiduguri and the anointing caused weeping and awe to the young and the old.

On several occasions, she has ministered at Missions Conferences and Church Planting Conferences in London, England at Glory Bible Church, New Wine Church and several other churches while there. Again, the response to the anointing was tremendous.

Her vision and purpose is to spread the gospel to all nations and to bring each person into the presence and knowledge of God through music and ministry. She is married to Cedric Brown and he is a professional drummer. They are blessed with three wonderful children and a son-in law, Quanta and her husband Chris, Savannah, and Matthew; by God’s grace they are following in the footsteps of their godly parents.
