During the earlier portion of the year 2011, Clarendon Jamaican based vocalist Kool Shade was introduced to, at the time, fast rising producer Damion "Dami" Knight by a mutual friend. At the time of the meeting there were no formal plans for the two musicians to collaborate, however as Damion sat in the very scenic yard of D1 Productions studio in Mandeville Jamaica, he casually played a number of different, informal, patterns with the congo drums. As Damion continued to play, the beginnings of something magical started to unfold; Kool Shade was inspired and began chanting un-penned lyrics to the patterns Damion played...this continued for several minutes, both musicians going about playing and sining without making eye contact or giving each other any instructions to keep the, informal, session going to allow for the construction of the lyrics. After about 15 to 20 minutes, Kool Shade broke shouted "mi ready" which meant he was now ready...to record. Both Artiste and producer retreated to the inside of the studio and what you are about to purchase..."Ms Beauty Notion" is the wonderful result of that studio session. A smooth soulful ode to the females of the world. Kool Shade managed to, effortlessly, express his affection for the opposite sex. Backed by a musical blend of Lovers Rock Reggae and African Jazz, Ms beauty Notion is surely a treat. Enjoy!
