Inspired as a young child her journey as a song writer began at the age of 12. Khalilah''s musical bloodlines permeates through her songs and all other works. Born and raised in New York, after her family transplanted from Jamaica. Khalilah''s family became her original fan base. They watched her as she would put on musicals to entertain the elders.
Khalilah has performed regionally on the East Coast, and southeast part of the States, and is now looking to be booked nationally, as well as worldwide. Khalilah has also traveled back to her roots to perform in Jamaica. Khalilah also works as a teacher/mentor for children with special needs and a support staff worker in a local homeless shelter.
In addition to her being a prolific singer/recording artist, Khalilah was the host for Forever Reggae Television in which she interviewed various artists within the reggae industry. Most recently Khalilah was interviewed by magazines such as C.Y.P.H.E.R, Jamrock, and television interviews on Z.Y.N.C TV and Mayan television!!
Khalilah''s down to earth and sparkling personality has won over the hearts of directors, radio personalities, producers and fans alike. This songstress represents a strong history of women walking in the light, learning in love and standing up for what is righteous.
