Kara Conrey’s Debut Music CD is set to be released on April 22nd, 2011, better known as Good Friday. The cover song “One of the Reasons Why” was written about Good Friday on Good Friday. Kara, her husband, Ian and their four year old son Tristen live in Ellijay, Georgia where she teaches and Ian serves as a Youth Pastor. The nine original Christian songs on the CD are uniquely designed like a church service: It has an opening prayer (Heavenly Father), congregational singing (Bring Us Closer, etc.) riveting sermon-ballads (Martyr, Not Afraid), a prayer of consecration, (Who Will Go?) and a closing, energetic benediction song (Make me a Soul-winner). Kara’s upbeat personality, excellent guitar skills and vibrant faith really shine through these songs. Recorded in Virginia, New York City and Georgia, this project features a blend of praise and worship, pop and bit of country.
