Love And Music is a romantic Jazz album sung and written by John Pedre a.k.a. Johnny. The album was Produced and Arranged by 4 time Grammy award winner, 6 billboard award winner and 1 Emmy by the world renowned Arturo Sandoval. Arturo also shows his versatility of instrunments with his beautiful arrangement on the piano and keyboard, Along with his magnificent trumpet playing on "Waiting For You" and "We Go Together". This album is also brightened with sax-man Ed Calle, who offers a fantastic solo on "Picture Us", and Alfredo Perez with his outstanding trumpet on "Love is a Funny Game" plays the Earnesto Simpson plays the frums on six of the songs, and Manuel Castrillo on the Congas for "Two Little Words"
The making of the album begins with a dream of Johnny''s. Since he was thirteen years old he began playing the guitar by ear. and began writing music. He asked God to help him with his music, and God answered the prayer. In 1990 Johnny received a phone call by a woman named Marianella Guiterrez, claiming to be his sister. They met at an apartment in Hialeah and Johnny got to meet Marianela, the sister he never knew he had, her husband Arturo Sandoval, and there son Arturo III. (Turi). He also found out that his father was still alive in Cuba. The father he had not seen since he was 3 years old. Two years later he got to go back to Cuba to see his father and his birthplace Artemisa, Cuba. His father eventually came to America and became an American citizen and lived to be 100 years old.
Johnny full of joy and love from his new family, with his brother-in- law Arturo Sandoval embarked on an album, full of love, joy, peace and happiness. This album brought family and friends together, as many hands were involved in putting this together. Including Johnny''s son J.R. Pedre helping with the lyrics and the graphic arts for the album done by Arturo Sandoval III (Turi) We are sure this album will bring you Peace, joy and love as it has brought to our family and friends.
