Details:
Jerry Rucker, a tech for the Space Shuttle program, came to fame in 1981, after his song ''Blastoff Columbia'' was used to wake up astronauts John Young and Robert Crippin on their first morning in space during the very first Space Shuttle mission. Jerry followed the song up with ''America, Look Up'', which was released in time for the second mission for Space Shuttle Columbia. The song received international airplay, and the back side ''Don''t Ask Me Why'' was a country gospel hit in North America. Jerry continued to write and perform throughout the Florida region through the years, where he has remained very popular through the years. He returned to the studio in 2010 with his wife Linda, to record some of his newer tunes under the direction of his son, Nashville recording artist Joe Rucker. Included in this collection are those highly collectible Space Shuttle tunes, as well as his singles from his group Jerry, Johnny, and the Buttermilk Biscuits. This project represents Jerry''s best.....Now & Then!
