Details:
“It’s sad to say, but it’s the same, all across the nation
It’s cheaper to go to the corner bar, than to the filling station”.
“I hoped this wouldn’t happen, in this land I love so dear
They’re Charging More For Gas, Than They Charge For Beer”

Yes, sad but true, these are the opening lines from a recent song by, Jim Hubler, ~Author ~ Songwriter ~ Guitar Owner ~Part-Time Poet ~, available on CD BABY and many other online music download sites. Though it is a Comic Song, it’s one we can all relate to. The high price of gas is getting us all where it hurts the most, in our money supply! While “Gouging” is not allowed in most contact sports and many other places, it seems to be acceptable if it’s done by the petroleum industry. At least, no one seems to be able to stop it, or do anything about it. In the meantime, download my song, “Beer, Cheaper Than Gas”, and try to laugh about the situation.

Jim is a former Hoosier, now living in the hills of Kentucky along the Ohio River. He writes stories and songs about many subjects, including a bit of humor, when possible. He records many of his self-penned songs with the help of some very talented music friends. Jim jokingly refers to himself as a "guitar owner", rather than a guitarist. After a long career as a Truck Driver, and weekend member of different Country Bands he now devotes near full-time to writing stories, songs, and recordings, etc.. He also devotes much time to "dog petting" and thinking up new things to write about in story and song.

His interests are widely varied and many. He writes stories about the Civil War, stories about Trucks and Truckers, and even dog-oriented stories, among others. Jim writes songs, mostly Country, on many subjects, from serious to comic, and including political satire.
