Nobresil is a unique World Jazz and Brazilian music band. The authentic Brazilian spirit translated into sophisticated arrangements by an authentic Brazilian musical director born and raised in Rio de Janeiro. Nobresil has an eclectic sound and love to play live shows involving the audience in their velvet vocals and exotic rhythms. Directed by Grammy awarded Brazilian bass player Leo Nobre, enhanced by the sensual voice of World music sensation Mari Nobre with original arrangements of twice Grammy nominated Jazz guru Jovino Santos Neto, Nobresil is currently promoted by Smooth Jazz Magazine and offers a wonderful variety of repertoire with Brazilian most classic tunes, exciting samba and amazing originals songs. The band also features world class musicians who are currently working with the best names of the industry.

Leo Nobre, Nobresil Bass player and musical Director:
Grammy awarded bass player Leo was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he performed with many famous bands. After attending the University of Miami he started touring with many famous artists. A teacher of the Los Angeles Music Academy for the past 8 years, he has toured and recorded with Brazilian legend Sergio Mendes as well as other stars like Shakira, Stevie Wonder and Julio Iglesias Jr.

•Throughout these years Leo has performed in several worldwide jazz festivals such as North Sea (Holland), Umbria (Italy), Montreaux (Switzerland), Copenhagen (Denmark), Vitoria (Spain), Java (Indonesia), Cancun (Mexico), Detroit, San Jose, and the Pasadena Playboy jazz festival.
Mari Nobre Vocalist and songwriter:
Mari is an explosive and sensual combination of Jazz and Latin flavor. Mari starts to sing and act professionally as a child performing as an opening act for Italian star Amedeo Minghi. She is hired for her first national tour at the age of fourteen. Classically trained in Europe she performs as a pop singer for RCA and becomes a professional TV host in Milan. Her Latin pop recording projects, appeared numerous times on the billboard. Her great interest for World Music encouraged her to move to New York where she creates her own original band (Passion Latina) and she becomes a member of SAG. She performs with several Latin Jazz bands like the "Latin All Stars", "E. Breton Salsa ensemble" and members of the Latin Jazz "Chico O’Farrell Orchestra" to name a few.
She enriches her musical experience learning from true legends of the Latin Jazz scene like Celia Cruz, Mario Rivera, Paquito di Rivera, Dave Valentin, and many others.
Mari is one of the few singers who can sing in five languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and French. She has recently performed with success in Brazil with world known musicians currently touring with Djavan and Ivan Lins. She currently lives in Los Angeles where she performs with her exciting and sophisticated World/Jazz band "Nobresil" which features her original compositions as well as famous Brazilian songs arranged by Jazz masters Leo Nobre and Jovino Santos Neto.
