Two thousand years ago , Thomas’ Gnostic gospel taught how to create the emotions that give birth to miracles . In testimony to the instructions given by Jesus, the apostle induces us to consolidate our thoughts and our emotions in a unique sentiment of great power : « If both thought and emotion make peace with each other in this one house, they will say to the mountain ‘Move away’ and it will move away"» (verse 28, p.131).
Mahavirya’s music allows this fusion whence sprouts faith in the therapeutic power of divine love. From the very first listening, everything is transformed. One is in the presence of a music that ennobles the listener’s heart and awakens the hidden forces of the spiritual self.
Mahavirya is an initiated individual and the works he creates on the level of his harmonic synthesis act as social therapy. That is to say that his music is not a recreational art, but a vibrational harmony that shapes the listener’s heart in such a way that it opens up to the superior realities of human consciousness. As a composer, Mahavirya has erected in his heart an altar on which he offers his inspired melodies to the Divine. On this altar burns the devotional fire of service offered to the personal supreme aspect of Godhead through sacred music.
I, as another aspirant to remain true in the service of the divine Sounds and Names, have had the immense good fortune of meeting Mahavirya some 30 years ago. Since then I kept elaborating the fundamental lines and principles of my compositions on which Mahavirya has kindly applied his profound musical culture and his art of sound design. He has contributed fabulous arrangements on most of my albums. As such, I, as well as everyone who loves my music owe him a great deal .
To listen to Pure Compassion, is to free one’s heart from worries and sorrow and substitute them with the radiant sun of the All Attractive.
