The band was formed in august 2009. Tom writes all the songs. He brings them to the rehearsal, where they are magically transferred into the distinct Skin Sofa style that we all love. Håvard does his best in trying to keep up with what''s happening in the songs. But since he came third in "Man of the Year" ''92, we sort of like him to be in the band. Michael has been drumming on things since his birth, but seriously took up drumming at the age of 19. Considering his grey hair, he must have been playing for a very long time! He has been involved in many bands and styles such as funk, jazz and reggae before finding his true love in the melodic surf punk of Skin Sofa. His specialty being New Orleans drumming, he brings the hot cajun spices to the band.
All the songs on this digital publishing have been recorded in January 2011. One of the songs, Trainobsessed, was actually written in 2003, so it''s about time for it to hit the charts! Picky Picky is about a poor tomato in the fridge, while Chicken Foo Yung is about being bothered by others on holiday. Kiss Kiss Happyland is about grabbing opportunities, and School of Sarcasm is about getting famous; fifteen minutes of fame, how nice... :)
