Details:
‘This is a fine album indeed. Roadhouse takes the gloves off and gives us a real rock feast with some excellent side dishes of country and Latin as well. They’ve made several albums and good ones too, but this is ‘the’ one; the best. The cover art by the renowned graphic artist is excellent as well’ BLUES MATTERS MAGAZINE

‘Roadhouse 11th album is very good indeed, good production quality songs – its great fun and it rocks – recommended’ LIVE MUSIC LONDON

Sublime, the best Roadhouse album ever

Track Listing
1. Too Tired To Pray – this opener is a cracker as the album kicks in lifts off and moves straight into top gear - it’s got it all. Its FM friendly, but not ‘too’ friendly and has shades of ZZ Top, the girls are in their best form ever and Danny Boy Gwylm on guitar lays on great slide and regular guitar managing to be tasteful and kicking the same time. This track rocks and boy does it roll as well!
2. Rainmaker –hey we’re into Country – ‘Rainmaker’ – ‘Rainmaker’s coming’ goes the chorus, it’s catchy, a song for driving, and replete with excellent country guitar licks – its very good – Roots and Country radio stations; a massive hook. And wall of sound vocals from the Roadhouse Ladies.

3. Dark Angel –the album’s noire epic, the title track paints a sound picture; a dark lonely road at late twilight, death and destruction all around, there’s fear, anxiety and distrust with only a dark angel to look to for hope. There are lashings of electric guitar and some acoustic nicely placed in the mix. It’s good, very good indeed.

4. Swamp Girl – a Bo Diddley inspired voodoo tinged ‘Swamp Girl’ is a tale of incest and murder in the everglades. Guitar fans will love this.

5. Tornado – Dorothy and Toto go for a spin, dark and twisting country based rock song already picked up on us radio.

6. Stormy Monday – Roadhouse take on the T. Bone Walker classic, its blues for sure featuring Susie D. on vocals

7. So Over You – this Santana-ish /Latin flavoured tune this is a really catchy with excellent guitar from Danny, and a great hook line hook plus a stand-out vocal by Kelly Marie Hobbs

8. Play With Fire – a song destined to be an all time Roadhouse rocking classic great rocker; this has amazing slide guitar that recalls early Dave Gilmour and a killer vocal from Mandy G.

9. Working Class Gospel Drinking Blues – this bluesy, Gospel flavoured rocker is already a live favourite - about drinking. Already a fave in the live set

10. Tellin’ Lies – this 2010 re-recording of Roadhouse classic song has been eagerly awaited by fans and it delivers – a rocking end to a rocking album.
