Ras Shaka I was born and raised in Nigeria. From childhood, was seen to have so much interest in music and singing. He got introduced to Yellowman''s music by a neighbourhood friend in the late 80s,and from there discovered other reggae artistes as the interest grew. In the early 90s ,djs like shabba ranks, buju banton, terror fabulous helped to shapen and give him new meaning to reggae music. As a talented artiste who was then a chorister in his teens, discovered that reggae music is acceptable only when it''s fresh and unique. He went ahead to develop his own style.
