Grupo Vivaz庐 Biography
Grupo Vivaz is a Latin American romantic musical group from the City of Brownsville Texas. The group consists of lead vocalist Everardo Martinez, programmer and keyboardist Efren Barrera, Juan Carrisalez on the bass, and Miguel Valencia on the guitar, Gilberto Escobedo on the drums, and Cesar Barbosa recording programmer and percussion. The band was formed in 1992, but they were not signed under a record company until 1995. Signing under Sigma Records a recording label in San Antonio Texas, owned by (Adolfo Angel Alva) Los Temerarios.
Grupo Vivaz have recorded 3 albums and been honored with multiple awards. In 1995, they earned gold record award on the Romantic Latin categories, in La Feria de Matamoros Tamaulipas Mexico.
They''ve performed in multiple world famous sites, such as La Feria de Guanajuato Mex. (where they became the first American music group to lead the event), US and Mexicans Sport Arenas, where they joined Fames groups such as Los Tigers Del Norte, Grupo Mojado, Limete, Banda Machos and many more, and Brownsville Sam Stadium, where they were the first group ever to perform there. They also acted at the Festival in Homestead Fl. 1997, earning the prestigious award Grupo Revelaci贸n del ano in the state of Florida USA.
Their first album was titled 鈥淓s Romantico鈥 and was released in 1995. The first single off the album was "Cuentale", which became popular in Texas , Florida , Georgia USA, and north of Tamaulipas, Monterey , Coahuila, and San Luis Potosi Mexico. The song reached number-one on the Mexican Top 100 and stayed there for 3 consecutive weeks, the album reached number-ten on Mexican Albums Charts and sold over 30,000 copies. The album was named one of the top ten albums of 1995 by Multi-Medios Mexico.
Apart from "Cuentale", the album also spawned two more top-twenty hits, "Te Amo Y Extanio" and "Trato de Llamar la Atencion".
Their second album was titled 鈥淒e por Vida鈥 and was released in 1999. The first single off the album was "Dile鈥 witch stay on the top for 5 consecutive weeks, the album reached number-five on Mexican Albums Charts and sold over 50,000 copies being certified Gold, and the album was named one of the top ten albums of the year.
Grupo Vivaz spent 1996 - 2000 on a 100-Concert Tour around Mexican Territory and USA Territory .
