Elliott Park was born in Fremont, California in 1968 while his father Ernie was playing professional football with the Oakland Raiders.  His family moved back to Texas when he was less than a year old.  Elliott grew up in Abilene Texas in a very loving and very musical family. On their large RCA living room stereo, his father regularly played vinyl records of Gershwin, Los Indos Tabajarros, Tony Bennet, Elvis, and countless others. But Elliott seemed uninterested in music in those early years. He loved to draw and he loved sports... the living room piano was never touched.

Elliott attended McMurry University in Abilene from 1988 - 1993 where he had a very successful college career in basketball and track. That early interest in drawing was still holding strong and led him to major in painting and graphics.  However, something interesting happened in those college years. One autumn evening after basketball practice, Elliott found himself in a small piano lesson room at the fine arts building, tinkering with the piano. That first night led to many more and before long Elliott had taught himself to play by ear.  It was as if all those years of music... all of those old records began to resurface.

Upon graduating, Elliott moved to Arlington, Texas and began a very successful career in graphic design and illustration, working with many notable clients such as American Airlines, Chili''s, and Major League Baseball. In 1993, with his first paycheck, he bought a Technics keyboard in an Arlington music store and began writing songs. Soon after, he met and fell in love with Pamela Hermens at the church he was attending and they were married in 1995.  Elliott calls Pam his silent co-writer.

He and his wife moved back to the Abilene area in 2000 and proceeded to have 4 children: John, Anna, Autie, and April. In 2001, finally succumbing to his wife''s urgings, Elliott submitted a song to TAXI, an independent A&R Company in LA. That song "Cotton Dyed Gray"  caught the attention of TAXI CEO Michael Laskow, who then took Elliott to Nashville and introduced him to many major publishers and professionals in the music industry.

Upon signing with Extreme Music Publishing,  Elliott''s first co-write was with a man named Walt Aldridge.  It was the first song Elliott had ever co-written and that song "I Loved Her First" went on to become a number one hit on Billboard and R&R in October of 2006.  Other artists such as Josh Turner and Aaron Watson have also recorded his tunes. In January of 2010, his song "The Road" by Aaron Watson hit number one in Texas. Recently, Elliott''s song "Your Smile" was performed by Josh Turner on Late Night With David Letterman. That song is also the #4 track on Josh Turner''s latest album Haywire released in February 2010.

In spite of his success in song writing, Elliott has chosen to remain in Texas in order to stay in touch with what he calls "real life inspiration". He travels to Nashville regularly to write, but has no intention of uprooting his family.  He owns and operates Fly Boy Studio – a full service music recording facility and continues to work as a graphic artist. Elliott admits he may never shake entirely that first love of drawing.
