This is the debut, the introduction to The Callous Stars and a taste of what is to come from our full-length album that is in production throughout 2010.
The Callous Stars are an indie pop/rock band from Boston that write short bursts of energetic indie/pop rock with some subtle quirks.
Upon the demise of his previous band, Bilvox (Vocals, Guitars) went solo for a few years and spent some time writing and growing musically. As a solo artist he released a full length album, a follow-up EP and then also scored an independent film. Finally he yearned to be back in a creative collective that is a band. So he jumped on the internet to find a group of like-minded folks. Soon Anthony Medel (Drums) joined ranks bringing to the group a great sense of humor and a fresh approach to music and rhythm.
Bryan Murphy then joined up bringing great musicality, energy and the brilliant groove of his bass.
After a few months rehearsing their material they played their first show in August 2009. Since then they have played various venues in and around Boston and NYC, Recorded an EP and are poised for so much more.
They take inspiration from the heart and drive of such acts as The Clash and U2, the rhythms of Joy Division, and the innovation of the UK music scene to forge a sound that is a catchy and accessible Indie Pop Rock which is uniquely their own.
