Details:
The album is a collection of Marian choral early music masterpieces written by various composers. It is an expression of how I would like to hear such pieces recorded and the choral sound I personally like. It has taken me 10 years to find the sound that I was looking for and this album represents something that I am finally happy with. It is a very raw, modern sound - where I have tried to make every part distinguishable, every word intelligible and the sound clear and striking in order to do justice to the beautiful texts and melodic interaction of the parts.
For those that know me or for those who might be curious about the lack of credits, I can confirm that apart from the composition, everything else about this album was done by me. From singing all parts, to recording, engineering and mastering the album as well as the artwork and the production.
This has been a labour of love primarily for myself and for my close friends. Some suggested that I make it available for their friends so here it is for anyone else who might like it. I have enjoyed immensely the 10 year journey of discovery that creating this album has brought, and I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I have enjoyed recording it.
