Azriel (D.A. Horton) currently serves as the Lead Teaching Elder at Koinonia Bible Church, a multi-cultural & multi-generational church that is the beautiful result a biblical merge between the churches formally known as; New Hope Bible Church and Truth Bible Fellowship. Koinonia is located in the eastern part of Kansas City, MO. D.A.’s Podcast, Didactics with D.A. Horton, receives thousands of downloads a month internationally and is hosted by Holy Culture Radio. D.A. also uses the medium of Gospel Rap as a tool to help educate the people of God on the precepts of Scripture in addition to reaching out the lost by presenting them with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. D.A. is also an Adjunct Professor at Calvary Bible College teaching Systematic Theology and Urban Studies in the Non-Traditional program.
D.A. has been active in the ministry of Gospel rap for over 15 years. D.A. holds a B.S. degree in Biblical Studies from Calvary Bible College and a Master’s degree in Christian Studies from Calvary Theological Seminary. D.A. is currently working on his in Doctorate in Education Ministry at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. D.A. was licensed and ordained by Mt. Washington Baptist Church in November 2007.
It’s been said that, behind every good man is an extraordinary woman, D.A. is no exception to this axiom as his wife of 7 years Elicia, truly models biblical womanhood daily. Elicia is not only a full time pastor’s wife and mother, she recently graduated from Calvary Theological Seminary earning her Master''s Degree in Religious Studies. Elicia also holds a B.S. degree in Organizational Leadership from Calvary Bible College.
