Born in Toronto Canada, tracing his roots back to St. Ann, Jamaica has been singing since the tender age of 5 and cites Luther Vandross, Michael Jackson, and James Brown as his influence. However, growing up in a West Indian household, the smooth rhythms and melodies of Bob Marley, Garnett Silk, and Beres Hammond armed this singer/song writer with a Caribbean flavour enabling him to step out into the Pop scene as a force to be reckoned with. However, he began his career in showbiz industry as a small screen actor on TVO (Stuff, Off the hook and various shorts).
In 2004, FoXx Williamz began his humble recordings in a classroom at Bethany College, where he studied and played D3 soccer. He recorded his first mixed tape with Local Pittsburgh Artist (City Boy aka Nashauwn Jackson) they were asked to open for G-Units Hip-Hop sensation Lloyd Banks in September of 2004. Since then FoXx has been honing in on his craft and took Vocal Lessons with Toronto R&B sensation Darryl Riley and worked very closely with Riley on back ground vocals and writing from 2006-2008. FoXx has been working with various artists such as Toronto''s own Choclaire, Thrust, RoDolla, Wiz of Music (California/Toronto) Trinity Chris, J-Jones (Toronto), Well Sharp (New York) and Peligro (Toronto Spanish reggae artist).
With the long awaited release of his first single "Regretful" with sincere lyrics, sweet melodies and arrangements, it is only a matter of time before FoXx will be recognized for his musical and artistic capabilities world wide. Teaming up with Douglas McLeary of Rhythmax Records and MGE Entertainment, FoXx Williamz has the backing he needs to accomplish his goals and share his music with his fans and the public.
When asked why he has waited until now to release his first single, FoXx responded " I needed to mature as a vocalist and writer. This is my craft, this is my love and I feel as though I''m ready now. It''s a matter of timing…and my time to shine is Now!!"
