Details:
Daily Khaos delivery, a.k.a. DKd, is an spanish duet, from the region of Gandia (Valencia), formed by long- term friends Javier Peiró Hernández and Jordi bohigues Alemany, both of them songwriters and self-producers.
While Javier writes the lyrics, plays casual guitars and some keyboards, Jordi plays the bass, electric and acoustic guitar, as well as singing in some songs.
The band firstly started as an acoustic reunion of newly friends, Javier and Jordi, by ends of 1995. They took their first name, Decade, from a Duran Duran compilation, and shortly after they changed it for DKd.
In their first period, the late nineties, the duo focused in working on simple acoustic songs, and after realizing of the chemistry between them, they decided to form a more serious band (https://www.tradebit.com to DKd), which they would call Panic. The most important thing of that period was that they would meet the keyboardist/ guitarrist and usual collaborator of the band, Javi Jr. Panic´s first attempt was the result of the extreme influence they were receiving from the british bands, especially Oasis and The Cure. It was the time of the british invasion-the brit pop phenomenon- .
After two years experiencing with metal riffs, brighter vocal melodies and powerful bass lines, as well as doing several gigs, some demos, differences among band members worsened due to musical differences and they decided to split up; Javier went to England to improve his spoken english, Jordi stayed in Valencia, and Javi Jr. fell apart forming the metal rock band Lither.
Two years later, by the start of 2007, as Javier was back home again, alongside Jordi, both of them decided to carry on with their musical adventure and formed a new band, Redsover, with drummer Hernán, which was mainly focused on finding a new direction and a new sound, escaping from the heavy guitar riffs and metal parts. The result was a sharp bass line leading the trio, followed by simple drum parts and less catchy tunes, as well as the trio started to explore with more atmospheric sounds.
Several changes in the drum section took them to think about aborting the project, but with the entry of guitarrist Enrique everything changed, at least, for a short period of time.
Javier and Jordi were the composers and put the ideas on the table, Enrique was the perfect solo live performer, as well as their last drummer, Esteban, did it quite well, so they decided to embark on some gigs in several pubs and locals.
Their new sound was evolving to a more American influenced by folk-rock style,
as most of their new songs evoked to the typical southern American songs of the seventies.
It was the first time they were combining atmospherics with british and American sounds, all mixed together.
Nonetheless, personal differences were quickly growing among the guys, as the degree of commitment with the band was not the same fot each member; and that´s the main reason why once finished their gigs scheduled they decided to split up and take different ways.
Javier and Jordi also had been writing and recording songs for a parallel project, with more experimental songs, and introducing by the first time synthesizers on their songs. They needed an exit to their accumulated creativity.
It was then, by the summer of 2010 when Jordi and Javier took the most important decision of their lives: put aside the Redsover period and start again themselves from the beginning. Musical experience was a fact and there was no time to lose.
It was the time to focus on their new musical ideas, but they were only a duet again, so they decided to center on composing and recording the first album of the only-two people project, with the help of session drummer Paco Torralba and occasional keyboardist Javi Jr.
In the end, they just meant to go back to their roots, to the origin of everything; a line formed only by two people who knew each other perfectly. That was when Daily khaos delivery came up.
And My favourite disaster is their first album, which was released in july 2010, without any record label or extra producer.
