A little story behind the song....When I was 14 and Kara 11, a close family friend was diagnosed with breast cancer, and we were all really scared for her. She was so strong. The day I wrote this song, my mom and I had an argument; and we had just came back from her house and found out she had cancer. The emotions made me think about how lucky I have been all along to have a mom that loves me with all of her heart and is always there for me. Our friend did ring the Cowbell !. Strong is dedicated to all women like Kerry, Diane, Kathy, Kim, and our mother who make us strong.
