Sheilah Glover is most renowned for her involvement in the award-winning trio Nicholas, Glover and Wray (https://www.tradebit.com) - three distinct voices and personalities that blend into a harmonious and vibrant ensemble, singing pop, jazz and their own original material. In their twenty-five years together, NGW has received numerous awards and played in almost every venue imagineable, appropriate to jazz and cabaret. In the 1980''s the trio toured extensively in the East Coast, eventually performing and touring with Barbara Cook, one of the world''s premiere song-stylists, in ''Barbara Cook, a Broadway Evening''.
Also in the 1980''s Sheilah got her MFA in composition and Recording Arts
from Mills College. She wrote for theater and film and also performed in several avant-garde productions as vocalist and actress. From 1987-1996 Sheilah was an active member of the Music Department at KPFA radio, an alternative listener sponsored Pacifica station in Berkeley, where she produced programs on contemporary musicians and composers, and was a programmer in the Women''s and World Music departments.
Ms. Glover plays piano, flute, and synthesizers, and produces and engineers at her digital home-studio, Cloud 9 Music. Together with percussionist and composer Barbara Borden, she has created four CD''s on their Cloud 9 Music Label, created in 1989. These instrumental albums have received wide distribution, both nationally and abroad. In 1997 she co-produced the CD Fierce Joy, with singer-songwriter Pilar Montaine. For 10 years she has been lead female vocalist for the Starduster Orchestra, a traditional 17-piece Big Band, and she has been back-up vocalist for Dan Hicks.
In 2000 she began a private practise of Vocal Coaching and now has a full and vital teaching practise. In 2002 she began performing her one woman show "Is Ennybody Home? - an exploration of the 9 types of the Enneagram" to sold out audiences in the Bay Area of San Francisco and on the road.
