Details:
Shir Synergy reflects the combined talents of two Sunshine Girls and a Harmony King... Lisa Baydush, the creative writer who composed the lyrics and melodies for all of the songs; Audrey Katz, an accomplished song-leader, whose voice graces and enhances our music; and Barry Astrow, whose exquisite harmonies give Shir Synergy its special sound.

Lisa Baydush, a Jewish music teacher in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, is new to the Jewish music scene. Inspired by the music of Debbie Friedman, Lisa began composing songs in 2001, weaving prayers and personal vignettes into songs that offer new interpretations to text and tradition. A mother of three with an MBA in marketing, Lisa is astonished to have discovered this spiritual, musical outlet in recent years, and is delighted to share these songs with you!

Audrey Katz is a talented singer, song-leader and music educator at Washington Hebrew Congregation. Audrey''s effervescent personality draws people to her, whether in concert, at services, or in airport security lines! Her bright smile and beautiful voice are an integral part of what Shir Synergy is all about. A mother of two, Audrey has been song-leading at services, camps and retreats since she was a teen.

Barry Astrow is a computer programming specialist with a velvet voice! His flair for harmony and counter-melody arrangement has given rise to his justly deserved title of "Harmony King." Barry''s singing career began in high school when a larger-sized friend quite literally picked him up and dragged him to a forced audition, leading to all-state and all-county performances. In college, Barry continued singing as a member of Binghamton University''s popular men''s a cappella group, the Binghamton Crosbys. Now a father of two, he has been a part of the D.C. area''s a cappella group, Take Note!, since 1993.
