Venues have included Cardiff’s Millennium Centre, Liverpool’s Cavern Club and London’s 12 Bar. BBC 6 Music has described his songs recently as ‘truly excellent’. Cardiff born, and now living in Cumbria, Pete’s songs have a timeless quality that reflect the eternal beauty of the northern county’s jagged peaks and lakes. His soaring vocals and rhythmical guitar work are really not to be missed!!

Press Reviews For ‘Air Of The Gods’

“This is the fifth album from a singer/songwriter brought up in Nailsea and now living in Cumbria. It demonstrates an excellent acoustic guitarist with wide musical tastes and a strong voice with a particularly good high range.
Coastal City Night demonstrates his skill as a lyricist and the heavier Someone Else’s Life is full of good imagery. Another Rabbit has a James Taylor quality about it and Nailing For The Head has a great funky feel … the title track is a real standout.”

Keith Clarke The Bristol Evening Post

“His latest collection of 12 original tracks shows Lashley''s ability as a writer, lyricist and a performer. He excels at all three.
Spanish and Australian influences are evident in Matador and Paperwork, the former demonstrating Lashley''s superb guitar playing. My favourite songs from the album are Rocky Road, Coastal City Night and the strangely named Another Rabbit - all hypnotising melodic ballads full of rich vocals and guitar. Most artists don''t like to be pigeonholed, but track seven Someone Else''s Life begins almost like a Led Zeppelin number. By the time you reach Nailing For The Head I could hear more of a Turin Brakes style. The final song ''The Village Rose’ is perhaps Pete Lashley at his best ….especially with the beautiful flute played by Polly-Anna Ashford.”

Steve Barber, The Westmorland Gazette

“I really think these are fantastic songs
which just flow seamlessly but also have their own individual appeal.
Fantastic production. You can tell time has been spent
but wisely; the songs aren''t done to death. Particular
favourites are Air Of The Gods (there''s so much going
on in there yet it''s deceptively simple) and The
Village Rose is stunning. I like the instrumentals
which are beautifully produced and the melody on
Another Rabbit is haunting. Coastal City Night
has echoes of Six Months To The Longest Day which was
one of my favourites on Lashley’s Slate album.”

Clive Lee, The Bay Radio Station
